About the car

The car was produced by British car manufacturer Austin-Healey. This small open sports cars began production in 1958 in the United Kingdom and ended in 1971. It was intended to be a low-cost and conveniently sized model. The body style was a 2-door roadster which holds an FR layout which places the engine at the front of the vehicle and uses rear-wheel drive.

The Sprite first went on sale with a tuned version of the straight-4 0 automobile Austin A-series engine and also tried to use as many existing components from their previous cars as possible in order to keep the costs of the car down. The 0.9 litre engine achieves a top speed of 83mph and has 43bhp.

The Austin Healey Sprite competed in many major international races and rallies, their first victory coming from the 1958 Alpine Rally after the races won their class. The Austin Healey Sprites comes in a variety of different colour, including Speedwell Blue.
