This car was part of the BMW E9 series that were introduced in 1968. The BMW 2800 CS was the first of the E9 coupes produced and released on the market. The car featured the then-new naturally-aspirated Inline 6-cylinder engine code-named M30. The engine produced 125 kW (168 hp) at 6000 rpm. For stopping power, the E9 2800 CS braking system includes Discs at the front and Drums at the rear.

 

The BMW E9 2800 CS top speed is 200 Km/h / 124 mph. The 1968 BMW E9 2800 CS has 170 PS / 168 bhp / 125 kW.

 

Driven by Huber/Kelleners, the BMW 2800 CS finished first at the 1970 24-hour endurance race at Spa Francorchamps. Two other BMW 2800 CS teams placed in the top 10.
