About the car

Created by BMW chief designer Wilhelm Hofmeister, featuring a new front end and a stretched engine compartment to fit the new in-line 6-cylinder engine inherited from the BMW E3 2500/2800 saloons. BMW E9 is a GT1 sports car of the German car manufacturer BMW-BMW Motorsport, sold between the years 1968 and 1975 in 30546 models. The BMW E9 was launched in October 1968 as the successor to the BMW 2000 C/CS model, with a 2800 CS model with a 2,800 cm³ six-cylinder engine and 170 horsepower.

The Nürburgring is a motor racing circuit situated in Nürburg and the villages nearby in the Ahrweiler region of Germany. One of the world’s greatest motorsport centers, both in terms of its history and its multiple tracks, including the famous North Loop, which is over 20 kilometers long and considered one of the most difficult circuits in the world.
