About the Car

Developed by Italian manufacturer Dallara, the Dallara F2 is an open-wheel racing car used in the FIA Formula 2 Championship.  It was Dallara’s first turbo-powered Formula 2 car and replaced the Dallara GP2/11.  In late 2015 Dallara developed, designed, and constructed the F2/18 chassis.  The car has a 3.4 L V6 engine, 620 hp, with a 6-speed transmission.

Mick Schumacher, son of Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher, was born in 1999 and is a Swiss-born German racing driver.  He is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy and races for Haas in Formula One.  He began karting in 2008, progressed to ADAC Formula 4 in 2015 and then to Formula 2 in 2019 and wond the 2020 Formula 2 Championship.

The Hungarian Grand Prix had its first race in 1936, however due to the war and politics, there was not another race for 50 years.  The Hungarian Grand Prix is annually held in Mogyorod; since 1986 it is a round of the FIA Formula One World Championship.  The circuit is 2.7 miles with 70 laps.

About the Brand

Dallara’s main factory is in Varano de’Melegari, Parma, Italy.  It is an Italian race car manufacturer founded by Gian Paolo Dallara.  After working for other racing car companies, in 1972 he created “Dallara Automobili”.  Specializing in designing, developing and production of racing cars, Dalllara is recognized as the most important experience due to constant attention to technology and innovation.  They are the sole manufacturer for Indycar, Indy Lights, Formula 2, Formula 3 and Super Formula Championships and produces cars for endurance races.

About the Manufacturer

Minichamps was founded in 1990 as a die-cast car producer in Aachen, Germany under the name of Paul’s Model Art GmbH.   The original company was the Danhausen, a trade company that made 1:43 scale models and sold them over the counter and mail order.  From 1971 to 1993 the company published the famous Danhausen World Model Car Book.  Danhausen was owned by the grandsons of Emma Danhausen – Hans Peter and Paul Gunter Lang.  There was a dispute between the brothers in the late 1980’s.  That is when Paul formed the Paul’s Model Art.  Diecast models were made more for the adult clientele and holding their value was a big question that needed to be answered.  Minichamps’ excellent quality has been noticed by Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, Opel, and BMW.
