About the brand:

In 1902, Emil Jellinek, an important car dealer at the beginning of the 20th century (located on the Côte d’Azur), legally and officially registered and protected the trademark “Mercedes”, named after his 13-year-old daughter, and signed an “exclusive sales contract” for DMG automobiles for Austria-Hungary, France, Belgium and the USA. He had his name legally changed to “Emil Jellinek-Mercedes”.  he built the first Mercedes Simplex and the Mercedes 35 HP racing car, which he marketed. As a result, he became a member of the DMG board of directors.

In 1909, Mercedes registered the famous three-pointed star (designed by Paul Daimler), to represent the three paths that Gottlieb Daimler had chosen for his engines: land, sea and air, the emblem of all his cars from 1911 onwards.
