Description

Nissan Fairlady Z – Yellow – (KSR18028Y):

Nissan’s range of Z-cars are a model series of sports car, and have been produced in seven generations since 1969.

The original Nissan Z was sold in October 1969, in Japan, and was sold as the Nissan Fairlady Z. Earlier models of the Z were constructed at the Nissan Shatai plant in Hiratsuka until 2000, while later models were built at Oppama and Tochigi.

Nissan’s Fairlady Z has received heaps of praise from motoring enthusiasts and customers alike. The car is good-looking, reliable, performs well and is both accessible and affordable.

In 1984, the Z-car was totally overhauled and redesigned. Nissan introduced their new series of 3.0-litre V6 engines, dubbed as the VG series. This same engine was used in Nissan’s Electramotive GPT ZX-Turbo, which absolutely dominated the IMSA GTP races from 1988 to 1989. In the US, it was capable of producing 228 horsepower, thanks to a longer cam duration and more lenient emission restrictions, whilst in Japan it was limited to 200 brake horsepower.

Just like its predecessor, the Z-car proved to be immensely popular and successful, and the particular 1984 reimagined version turned out to be the second best-selling Z-car of all time. It sold over 70,000 units, and this wasn’t just down to its new styling. Thanks to its more luxurious interior, more reliable features and better overall performance, the Z-car truly was a great car.

Whilst it was a sports car, many people actually considered it to be a Grand Tourer instead. It had refined handling, acceleration, and more fine-tuning than any other Z-car that had come before it. It was almost ‘too nice’ to be a sports car in the eyes of some enthusiasts.

This yellow model perfectly encapsulates the suave and timeless beauty of the Fairlady Z, clad in a subtle yellow coating to accentuate its bolder features. It really is a model that stands out amongst others.
