About the car

The Sauber C9 was a Swiss Sauber team race car, built for the World Sports Car Championship, which it won in 1989. The Kouros team switched to the new Sauber C9 in 1987, while the C8 chassis No. 2 was sold to the private French team Noël del Bello, which competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Nürburgring 1000 km in 1987.

The monocoque is made of light alloy and has a Mercedes-Benz M119 4,973 cc engine.

About the Brand

The Sauber F1 Team is a racing team founded by Peter Sauber and based in Hinwil, Switzerland. After multiple successes in the World Sports Car Championship (26 victories and two championships in 1989 and 1990), the team competed in the Formula One World Championship from 1993 to 2005.
