About the car
One of the fastest cars in the BMW 02 Series family was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1973: the legendary BMW 2002 turbo. Featuring a turbocharger, the first in a sports car of this class, the already powerful fuel-injected engine gained an additional 40 horsepower over the 2002 Tii. The BMW 2002 Turbo was given a top speed of over 210 km/h.

Minichamps is a German brand of miniatures based in the city of Aachen. In 1990, the company was founded under the name of Paul’s Model Art, and it was not until 1996 that the company was renamed Minichamps. The company offers a large number of replicas in various scales, but their Formula 1 cars are mainly offered in 1/18 or 1/43 scale.
