The G-Class Model is a car produced by Mercedes Benz. It was originally built as a military vehicle. The first civilian version was released in 1979. The long G-Model is a four-door version with a long wheelbase (2850 millimetres)
The defining features of the G-Class include its straight lines, the finely-balanced proportions of its surfaces, the short overhangs and its square-cut wings. It was fitted with a four-speed manual transmission.
The car had a 2.3-liter gas four-cylinder, a 2.4-liter diesel four-cylinder, and a diesel five-cylinder. The car had a top speed of 128 km/h (80 mph). The car featured accelerations of 0- 100 km/h (0- 60 mph) in 20.9 s.
The G-Class has proved to be popular with over 400,000 Units in the G-Class series having been sold as of 2017.
