The car was fitted with a Ferrari Tipo 065 90-degree V6 engine, capable of producing 901 brake horsepower together with its electric counterpart. The car weighed just 746 kilograms, due to the heavy integration of purely carbon and nothing else to the body. The monocoque was also a carbon fibre monocoque, which further reduced weight in an effort to boost the car’s performance levels.
A special Valentine’s edition of the car was released, with a deep grey paint and stark red hearts, but the regular car’s livery is far more industrial and simple, with white undertones highlighting the red accents above and behind the driver.
Unfortunately, unlike its bold livery, the C39 is gravely let down in terms of performance and power. The car was persistently wounded by an almost comical lack of power from the Ferrari engine, and therefore never really served as much of a competitor or threat to the other midfield teams.
