About the car
In September 2020, the Munich-based manufacturer will unveil one of its most eagerly awaited sports cars. The BMW M3 is not just a sportier version of the 3 Series.
BMW’s designers have chosen to modify its design, starting with the front end, which is inspired by the new BMW 4 Series. Other changes include a body that is 40 mm wider at the front and rear.
Under the bonnet, the BMW M3 is powered by a 480 hp in-line six-cylinder engine with 550 Nm of torque, which is available between 2,650 and 6,130 rpm. This power is transferred to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.
In terms of performance, the sports car needs 4.2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. Acceleration from 0 to 200 km/h takes 13.7 seconds. While in the Competition version, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.9 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 12.5 seconds.
