Thierry Tassin won his third 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps race in a BMW 318is Class II in 1994, together with Alexander Burgstaller and Roberto Ravaglia.
The 24 Hours of Spa is an endurance car race that began in 1924 and takes place on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. The event is historically the second 24-hour race to be created, one year after the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
During the 0 to 100 km/h sprints, the BMW 318is Class II reached a top speed of 213 km/h and completed the sprint in 10.2 seconds. An M-aerodynamic package containing side skirts, an adapted front spoiler, and a new rear spoiler allows for good driving performance and increased driving dynamics, thanks to reduced lift. With a Round-spoke light-alloy wheels of 225/55 ZR 16 tyres and the Nürburgring-proven M low-slung sports suspension, provide a sporty finish. Inside, the sport seats offer the best lateral support and a leather sports steering wheel which provides the right grip on the steering wheel.
