The Mercedes-AMG F1 W11 EQ is the Formula 1 car entered by the Mercedes Grand Prix team for the 2020 Formula 1 World Championship. The car is piloted by Britain’s Lewis Hamilton and Finland’s Valtteri Bottas.
The W11 EQ, designed by the engineers James Allison and Geoff Willis, was introduced on 14 February 2020 at Silverstone in England. In the context of Lewis Hamilton’s fight against racism and for more diversity in his sport, around the Black Lives Matter movement, the Mercedes W11 is painted black.
It is made of carbon fibre monocoque and Kevlar chassis and possesses a V6 turbo engine that reaches 15000 rpm. The car possesses an engine named Mercedes-AMG F1 M11 EQ and a displacement 1600 cm3.
