2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS – Green W/Weissach Package – (155068300):
Porsche’s 911 GT2 range actually dates back all the way to 1993, when the very first GT2 was introduced. However, since 2010, the range and its accompanying legacy has been carried on by the 911 GT2 RS.
The car itself is a derivation of the 911 Turbo, just with a few tweaks here and there. Whilst it does use a similar twin-turbo engine, the GT2 RS has multiple upgrades. First of which would be the significant upgrade to the engine reliability. Upgrades also include larger brakes, and much stiffer suspension calibration. Moreover, the GT2 RS is pointedly lighter than the Turbo. This is thanks largely in part due to its use of rear-wheel-drive rather than all-wheel-drive, as well as the reduction and removal of any and all unnecessary interior components. The GT2 RS is the most expensive, most boisterous and the quickest model among the entire 911 line-up.
Porsche announced the GT2 RS in Leipzig, Germany in May 2010. The engine generates a maximum output of 612 horsepower, which is telling when listening to the roar. Additionally, the GT2 RS weighs an immense 70 kilograms less, which allowed for a top speed of 205 miles per hour.
With the intricate features and incredible attention-to-detail, the corresponding model of the 911 GT2 RS is truly a beautiful model. Its stark paintjob really allows the smaller intricacies to shine.
