About the car

The ADAC Super Touren Wagen Cup 1994 was the first edition of the Super Tourenwagen Cup.

The BMW E36 model is the third edition of the BMW 3 Series compact executive car line and was produced from 1990 to 2000. Initially, it was a four-door sedan, followed by a coupe, convertible, station wagon, hatchback and the BAUR TC4.

The E36 series was the first 3 Series to be introduced in a hatchback body style. It was also the first 3-Series to be available with a six-speed manual transmission, a five-speed automatic transmission and a four-cylinder diesel engine. Its multi-link rear suspension was a significant improvement over previous generations of the 3 Series. The all-wheel drive system was not available for the E36, unlike the previous (E30) and subsequent (E46) generations.

Furthermore, four-cylinder gasoline engines used in the E36 series were initially engines carried over from the previous generation of the 3 Series: the BMW M40 SOHC engine and the BMW M42 DOHC engine.
