Description
Formula E Season 5 – DS Techeetah Team, Andre Lotterer – (114180036):
DS Techeetah were originally named TAG Heuer Porsche, but were renamed in 2018. Andre Lotterer made a name for himself early on in his racing career, through hard work and his success in both German and British Formula 3 championships. However, Lotterer wouldn’t be introduced to F1 until 2014, where he was actually racing for Caterham. Between 2012 and 2017, he competed in the World Endurance Championship, claiming the drivers’ title at the end of the first season.
At the start of the 2017/18 season, Lotterer really struggled on his debut in the electric car championship. He greatly struggled with mastering the series in his initial rounds. Regardless, in spite of that, he built an impenetrable reputation as an unforgiving rival. Him and his teammate, Vergne claimed their first one-two finish in the series in Santiago, and two first -place finishes earned him a place in the overall top ten.
Going into the 2018/19 season, Lotterer stayed with the newly named DS Techeetah, as well as his teammate and reigning champion, Jean-Eric Vergne. The two of them clinched the Teams’ Championship title come the end of the season, with Andrew Lotterer finishing a respectable eighth overall.
