About the car
The FIA Formula E Championship 2018-2019 season is the fifth season of the Formula E Championship contested with Formula E electric cars. The season 5 Envision virgin racing car was driven by Robin Frijns. Formula E, also known by its acronym FE, is a category of electric single-seater motor racing regulated by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). FE is the only single-seater class currently in competition with an electric motor.
Following Audi Sport, Virgin has presented its new team that will participate in season 5 of Formula E. This presentation was particularly expected since the team has changed its identity and partner. Audi will be the driving force behind Virgin.
In addition to the usual announcement of the drivers and the presentation of the car’s new colors, this presentation was also an opportunity for Virgin to announce its two new partners. Virgin has become a new customer of Audi Sport, which has supplied the car and the technology behind it.
