Based on the BMW M6 series (F12/F13) from which it takes its name, it is homologated in the GT3 category of the International Automobile Federation. The vehicle is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 engine with Twin Power Turbo technology. The powertrain features a dry-sump lubrication system and generates up to 585 horsepower, while weighing less than 1,300 kg. The Super GT is an automobile championship organized by the Japanese Automobile Federation.
